The investment poll
What everyone would do with an open check, in their own words.
You run this offline and enter the answers here. It stays private to you, always. No buyer surface ever reads a raw answer. The machine does not interpret anyone; you tag which answers name the same constraint, and it counts what you found.
How to run it
You are running a poll, not a review.
Tell each person the same thing: I am considering an investment in this business, and I want your independent view on its best use. That framing is honest, because the preparation you are doing right now is that investment.
The question is a blank check: if I could write a check to execute any strategy for this business, no limits, how would you use the money?
Then one follow-up, every time: why haven't we done it already? A real strategy has a real constraint attached, and the constraint is what you are listening for.
Collect the answers in writing. Each person answers alone, before anyone compares notes, and you collect them yourself. No group meeting, no thinking out loud together, no round table.
One rule protects the whole instrument: coached or discussed answers are worthless here. If the answers get compared, aligned, or softened before they reach you, the poll breaks and tells you nothing.
Answer it yourself too, and enter your own answer as one of the rows. Where you land against the rest of the room is part of what this shows you.
